My main research interest comprises investigation of the factors that regulate the variability of ecosystems in both space and time.
My research tends to focus on aquatic ecosystems and a significant proportion of this is applied. Quantification of the impacts of disturbance on the structure and functioning of ecosystems and the application of results of this work to management comprise an important goal of a lot of my research.
