About
I am an early career scholar with interests in the history of modern Ireland, France and Great Britain. I am also interested in the social and cultural history of the Great War, and its impact on ethnic nationalism.
I was recently conferred with a PhD in history from the University of Dublin, Trinity College. I also hold a BSc in history and the social sciences from Central Michigan University, and an MA in twentieth-century Irish history from University College Dublin. I am currently working to expand and focus the content of my thesis in preparation for publication.
I have experience teaching both halves of the undergraduate European history survey courses, and have been a tutor on modern Irish history modules. I am interested in teaching courses that examine the international influence of literary culture, war and politics, as well as thematic methodologies courses and courses on research methods and application.
My publications are varied. I have published in Ireland and France, and am currently preparing articles for publication in the United States and Great Britain.
My most recent conference papers were delivered in Paris and Boston. I am currently preparing abstracts for conferences in New Zealand, Berlin and at Harvard University.
My current research project examines the development of integrated Celtic nationalism in Ireland, Britain and France during the Great War, with particular emphasis on the dissemination of the Irish Revolution in France.
